On our recent summer staycation we spent a day in the beautiful Cathedral town of York. Neither of us had ever been before so were looking forward to exploring and visiting all of the historical landmarks and browsing the quirky shops.

Happy Sunday everyone! The spring time sunshine, lighter nights and (slightly) warmer weather has inspired me to start blogging again after hibernating for the past few chilly months!
At the end of 2016, I promised myself that the upcoming new year would be one filled with more adventures – making the most of my weekends to explore, challenge myself and learn new things, so that the year doesn’t just pass me by in a blur of going to work, doing housework and sticking to the normal routine!
My first taste of adventure for 2017 came during the last weekend in January. I signed up for a hiking weekend in the Brecon Beacons with Girls Explore – an amazing group set up by my friend Hannah. There is nothing more festive and fulfilling at this time of year than a Christmas Craft Fair, and we are extremely lucky to have one so close to home every year at Bradgate Country Park. Our visit today was made, not only by the stunning weather, but the wide variety of amazing stalls; with local artists, bakers, writers and entrepreneurs proudly displaying their collections for Christmas.
